POST TAN INSTRUCTIONS
Stay away from all moisture for 8 hours after your tan. This means no showers, no work outs, no cleaning, no lotions, and no liquid foundations on the skin.
I know it’s hard, but try and keep from touching your skin while the tan develops.
Your first shower should just be a rinse. Use warm water and the palms of your hands to rinse bronzer off taking no more than 3-4 minutes. You may use soap in your personal areas.
You will see the bronzer wash away. This is normal!

Pat yourself dry, please don’t rub!
Moisturize! I cant stress this enough. You’ve got to stay moisturized to keep your tan lasting as long as possible. Apply lotion at least once a day. Twice would be great! The best lotions to use have water listed as the first ingredient.
NO BABY OIL EVER.
NO BABY OIL EVER.
Other facts to keep in mind:
A woman’s tan might develop differently depending on hormonal changes. (ovulation, menstruation, new meds incl. birth control, stress & pregnancy).
While not common, hormones may cause streakiness, patchiness, uneven fade, or produce little to no color.
Again, this is possible. Not probable.
Do not use AHA products (Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Glycolic, Lactic, Malic, Citric, and Tartaric acids)
Anti-acne products that exfoliate, or dry the skin such as Accutane, and Salicylic acid, can affect tan fading. Skin can also peel, which can look unacceptable, especially with a tan.

Antibiotics or other medications can also affect your tan.
Anti-aging products that “renew” or “refresh” or otherwise exfoliate skin.
Band-Aids, or adhesive tape, applied to skin will pull the “tan” off.
Bar soaps are not recommended, especially deodorant, or antibacterial varieties.

One bar soap and/or shower gel in particular to avoid is Dove.
Curel lotions also have been known to ruin a tan.
No BHA Products (Beta Hydroxy Acids-salicylic acid)
Body hair bleach products will bleach the tan, non-bleach skin lighteners are fine.
Bore type adhesive facial strips, or “peel-off” masks
Bug spray, perfumes, body sprays when sprayed directly onto skin, can remove, fade or crack the tan. Instead, spray clothing instead of directly onto skin.
Facial masks and exfoliating scrubs. It is recommended that you do these before a spray tan.
If you exercise and sweat heavily your tan can fade faster, especially in body fold areas. (arm bends, armpits, knee bends, between breasts etc.)
